 So I was having coffee in the teather cafe.. and as a result of a lot of caffeine.. decided to break into the teather to go play piano..(as if i play piano)

So I was running like a mad woman (please don’t mention that I run like a little girl..)

 And when I got there there was in the last step .. a block in the stairs  stopped me.. couldnt go in because of my heels…Then a guard came over…

 And I ran once again..

The lesson:

This is my latest piece , I love pearls and this one has 3 freshwater pearls and I hope you like the change in the focus point… lil old poem I wrote once help me make this piece..

It’s for sale, because I think it’s time for me to sell some pieces online. .. my poor little store is all empty but well its a beginning…

Well I was making a ring the other day, but during class it was a request from someone and honestly well I’ve been at this for 5 months I’m not a jeweler yet and some things leave me clueless..

I had a request for a ring and I took the request to my teacher to see how it could be done, and I started and spent hours and hours trying to get through it and then my teacher told me about why we have to have our place.

So this is the situation if someone asks me for a piece and if it’s so time consuming that I’ll leave personal projects behind, then is just not a good idea.

I told that person that I was not going to able to make the ring for her yet, and there was no problem, and then I made me this..

If you make piece and that person wants one with a variation, wants the piece, wants one like it.. it’s good. But if someone tells me what to do how to do it.. then where do I put my personality on it ? Where is my touch? That thing that says I made it. These includes replicas, some people even get pictures of others people’s designs and say : “ I want this”

This is a ring I’m wearing daily with my version of a lotus flower, the ring is to remind me to work on my ideas and to try to keep it an art, personal, even if I make less money.

I’m happy to clear my brain..

Well had a good rest , in CR we celebrate Easter the whole week, (no chocolate eggs which is no good if you have any left overs send them my way I’m humbleeeeee! ) SO we have different traditions.. I got 2 days out of work last week.

Been off for 4 days in a row which I haven’t had since.. mmm a long long time. And had the chance of waking up and instead of jumping out of bed and running off to get the towel and shower. I was lazy , turned on the TV stood in bed..

I actually cooked breakfast, proper ones and then catched up on all pending things I had, did a lil clean up, went off to get some sun, played with my baby brother took him out to watch the Horton movie which we both loved.

It was beautiful to have some time off to plan things up, had a tiny bit of silver and made 2 tiny pendants out of them which I will finish up next Friday when I go to class..

And well sorry to bore you with all my everyday chat. But wow it’s amazing what some days doing nothing just relaxing being with yourself can do… I charged up my batteries and feel ready to go back to the 2 jobs, to sketching ideas, to wake early.. It’s all good.

I feel grateful today.

So yesterday I was very very tired, had a bit of a hard day and was wearing this big heels of hell (I have to use heels at work) .. and in a point where I couldn’t take it, took a cab.

 I probably sat down with all the will in the world the cab driver said ” you sat down alright” and laughed.. He was 40 something looking like he needed coffee.

So I told him I was dying and my desperate sitting down was because of the heels..and I mentioned how If I could make rules in the world I would make men use KILLER heels at least once in their life..

So the taxi driver agreed .. and I told him like .. It’s dumb like we have to go through the labor part and still we keep some other small daily pains..

And that’s when I cracked up .. he said ” Well If I was a woman I wouldn’t have any kids.. at all If I had to because is human I’d had one BUT ONE ONLY.. I would need someone to be with me , i would be desperate it looks so terrible and I would get an operation or something…to never have kids again. I dont know how woman who have one kid keep having them.. ”

And I said ” yeee I agree adoption is always a resource too so many kids without homes.. “

Then I dropped one of those 3 min soups out of my grocery bag..

me:               ” ARGGHH my soup…”

He said …. : ” ahhh which soup..” , ” are those the ones you put in the microwave and are done in a sec? “…

me: Yup , you want one?

40 yr old cab driver: “Yeah, why not thank you”.

Then I got off feeling good not realizing we went from heels to his having birth plans to me giving him a  soup…

am a happy person..

Adieu

I got caught.. I need to build me something to take pictures in one of those white boxes or buy one.. not in the scarf I still have on haha..

So the other day was a day of shopping for random things as one does…

I have this thing for little things, or strange things, and I keep puting them everywere, now that the studio is actually looking like a studio then I am starting to buy things to give it a more personal touch..

Starting with my favorite a couple of Mushrooms to store acid and borax..

Then my lil vintage ..porcelain egg.. I don’t like roses much but this had blue and black tones on it so it gives it a nice touch…

This has a little story.. the thing is we had to make a perfect sphere.. and to know it was perfect once done it had to roll in a parallel line, back and forth which meant it was fully perfect all around..

Mine rolled and I almost cried ahaha! (you can see me there, and that in my hand is something important I wrote but it fade so I don’t remember haha ), It’s 16mm

Then I got this pretty scarf coz I got a thing for scarfs I got too many all colors some made by me some purchased, It used to be the same with hats I had about 25 hats and gave them all away when I went to Aust.

This one is nice coz is very light.. bit silly to wear big scarfs when you live in CR.

A while ago I mentioned I got a new job for the weekend.. www.spanishpod101.com.. It’s pretty funny.. I do the Costarican series..

So pretty much we teach people the slang from Costa Rica.. and talk about the country things that are common on the streets so on..

The series are a fun project , and I never realized until I heard myself in the studio that I sometimes have the voice of a 12 yr old..and I go from serious to making hundreds of noises like weee..yay..wooo..bla bla.. I sound bipolar..but still obviously its all good quality recordings I’m just the weird one :P..

I’m very happy with this…

It’s very hard to work 6 days a week but it’s paying off. I got a new torch for the workshop and 2 sets of files..the torch is similar to this one.. just used with regular gas.. I wanted an Acetylene  one but I would have to get it overseas. IN THE FUTURE I WILL! …

I needed been working on new designs.. but well you already know the camera story..so I can’t show anything..

I’ll see if  I can buy this one this week..

The reviews I’ve read are fine and well I like the touch screen factor of it..

Since I’m all damn busy the whole time I barely have time to go out or read which is annoying and got nothing substantial to write about.

So I just leave you with an elephant having a splash
